Chem-Trend Named a “Top Workplace” in Michigan

Chem-Trend, a global leader in the development and production of high-performance release agents, purging compounds and mold maintenance products, was recently named a 2017 Detroit Free Press “Top Workplace” in Michigan for its sixth consecutive recognition.

Earning a spot in the “Circle of Excellence” last year, Chem-Trend was recognized again by its employees as an employer of choice. Finishing ninth in the midsize business category, this is the fifth year that Chem-Trend has been named a Top 10 honoree.

Driven by an anonymous employee survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics, employees were asked to comment on overall satisfaction, culture, pay and benefits, leadership, training and advancement opportunities, flexibility and amenities. In the comments section, employees were encouraged to provide details about their workplaces and current positions within the organization. Overall, Chem-Trend employee responses were very positive within the dimensions of the survey.

“The Freudenberg Guiding Principles and our Chem-Trend values lead us in all facets of our business, which positively influences the exceptional culture we have established,” said John Lundin, Chem-Trend vice president and general manager—North America. “Our people are our difference, adding value in every area of our business, and it’s their passion, enthusiasm and dedication that make this possible for the sixth year in a row.”

Chem-Trend is listed among 150 “Top Workplaces” in Michigan for 2017, including large, midsize and small companies across various industries.
