Chem-Trend Highlights Broad Commitment to Corporate Citizenship in Annual Responsibility Report
Chem-Trend, a company of the Freudenberg Chemical Specialities Group and a global leader in the development of high-quality release agents, purging compounds, and other process chemicals and additives, has released their latest Responsibility Report. Detailing the company’s global initiatives in 2023, the report showcases not only considerable progress made on environmental targets – reduction of CO2 emissions, water usage, and waste generation, and increase in material recycling – but also a wide range of examples of the company’s social commitment that extends beyond sustainability.
A prime illustration of Chem-Trend’s comprehensive approach is prominently featured in the report: the company’s achievement of a Gold rating from EcoVadis in 2023. This third-party recognition puts Chem-Trend in the top 5% of all rated companies in areas of environment, ethics, labor, human rights, and sustainable procurement. Many examples are provided throughout the report, demonstrating how the company consistently upholds these high standards across all areas of its operations worldwide.
“Since we started, Chem-Trend has been a pioneer of developing technologies that help our customers achieve greater efficiency. And our social commitment goes even further, encompassing robust Health, Safety, and Environment protocols; legal and regulatory compliance; fair labor practices; and much more. I believe this report provides a clear picture of how we operate – always guided by a deeper purpose.”
— John Lundin, Chem-Trend President and CEO
